AGNES MONICA “PRIDE OF INDONESIA”

Almost all of Indonesians people know that Agnes Monica is one of the multitalented artists in Indonesia. She can make Indonesian proud of her talent. Her appearance in every event has interested the audiences. She was born on 1st July 1986 in Jakarta. She is the last child of the couple “Jenny Siswono and Ricky Suprapto”. She has a brother; his name is Steve Muljoto as her manager.

She is an artist who is still caring her education. She graduated from Taranika elementary school in Jakarta. Then, she studied in Pelita Harapan Junior High School. After that, she studied at Pelita Harapan senior high school. In her school, she was a smart student in academic program. She often got a scholarship. She was also very busy with her piano course, English course, singing course, ice skating and badminton. Her art talent has been looked when she was a child, especially in vocal. After that, she studied in Pelita Harapan University in civic aspect. Then, she studied in Oregon University in America with distance education program and political science aspect.

She started her career as a kid singer when she was 6 years old. The first album is “ Si Meong”. Her second album is “yess!” in 1995.In this album she collaborated with Eza yayang. And the third album is “bala-bala”. Her beautiful voice and her agility can make the audience love her. In 1999, her album can makes her name dash away in entertainment.

Not stopping in kid singer, but she tried to be a kid presenter. She was a kid presenter in VAN (Video Anak Anteve), Tralala-trilili in RCTI, and Diva Romeo in Trans TV. And she gets a Panasonic awards as “the favorite kid presenter” in 2 years, 1999-2000.

When she was teenager, she became an artist. She starred in Lupus Millennia and Mr. Hologram in 1999.She was successful in getting an appreciation as “the best teenager artist version artistcilik.com”. In 2000, she starred in Pernikahan dini with Syahrul Gunawan. In this sinetron, her name is bounces as “an artist favorite”. She also got an appreciation of Panasonic awards as “Artist Ngetop 2002”.She also becomes a highest salary artist in Indonesia entertainment. And still there are many appreciations for Agnes of some labels and music company.

Agnes brings a new style for teenagers lives such as her accessories, clothes and hair style. There are many teenager imitate her style, her hair style always changed by her mood, sometime short and sometime long hair. Her clothes start from punk rock style until Harajuku style; all of her styles look interesting.

Agnes also has career in International too. Agnes ever starred in Asia drama with Jerry Yan (f4), with the title “the Hospital in Taiwan. She also acts with Peter Hoo in Romance in the White House. More over, she became a special guest in final Asian Idol in 2007.She also got appreciation as the best Asian Artist Award in 2008-2010 in Asia Song Festival in Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange in Seoul, South Korea. In 2010, she becomes a host in American Music Awards in Nokia theatre, Los Angeles, America.

In short,She is really a multitalented artist in Indonesia. She not only has a talent in art or entertainment but she is also smart in academic. She is not only making a pride in the country but she also makes it in International. So, why we just proud of her and does not make a pride?
